Charlie's Story
With his cute underbite and perpetually sticking-out tongue, Charlie brought joy to every day, especially when he’d greet you excitedly at the front door. He lived for the chance to run in the field by the house, a joy he now knows endlessly as he runs free and young again, showered with chicken wieners, reunited with Grandma and his sibling, Nano.

Verse 1
I remember the first time our journey began,
A tiny dog with a very big plan.
Your cute little tongue, a sweet underbite grin,
Always peeking out, where the joy would begin.
A wagging tail and a happy soft sigh,
Meeting my gaze with a sparkle in your eye.
You were always ready for an adventure or scout,
With that sweet little tongue forever sticking out.
Chorus
Oh, Charlie, my Charlie, a heart wild and free,
Fourteen beautiful years, you lived here with me.
A faithful companion, through sun and through rain,
Your love was a comfort, easing all pain.
Verse 2
When I'd come home from work, a glorious sound,
You'd race to the door, paws barely on ground.
Trying to slip out, with a joyous quick leap,
To run in the field, secrets it would keep.
A burst of pure joy, a spirited call,
My favorite time, standing proud and so tall.
Your playful spirit, a bright, shining spark,
Leaving its print deep within my heart.
Chorus
Oh, Charlie, my Charlie, a heart wild and free,
Fourteen beautiful years, you lived here with me.
A faithful companion, through sun and through rain,
Your love was a comfort, easing all pain.
Bridge
I'm sorry my dear, you didn't live long enough for me,
But please know I loved you, wild and so free.
I miss you so much, with each passing day,
And hope you are waiting, to light up my way,
On the other side, when it's my time to be,
I hope you'll be there, just waiting for me.
Banjo Solo
Final Chorus
Oh, Charlie, my Charlie, a heart wild and free,
Fourteen beautiful years, you lived here with me.
A faithful companion, through sun and through rain,
Your love was a comfort, easing all pain.
Outro
Now running young again, in fields green and wide,
With treats and chicken wieners, by Grandma's side.
With Nano and siblings, no more pain to bear,
Just joyful adventures, floating on the air.
Outro - ukulele fade
