Dooney
17 years of love
Dooney's Story
Dooney, the spirited Yorkie, brought joy with his unique habit of greeting his dad after every bath, eagerly asking to be carried. He was a constant, comforting presence, always nestled close as his dad played the piano organ, creating a cherished soundtrack for their bond. Now at the rainbow bridge, Dooney still watches over him, waiting for the day they'll be reunited and hear "seat on my lap" once more.

Lyrics
Intro - piano, strings
Verse 1
When bath time finished, and you heard his call,
A tiny Yorkie, ready to enthrall.
You'd run right over, sniffing with delight,
Knowing he smelled fresh, shining ever so bright.
You'd stand on hind legs, a happy, eager plea,
Wanting to be carried, just for him to see.
A faithful shadow, always by his side,
With warmth and comfort, nowhere left to hide.
Chorus
Oh Dooney, sweet Dooney, seventeen years we shared,
A bond of pure love, beyond all compared.
My husband's dear heart, now aches for your touch,
Missing his best friend, oh so very much.
Verse 2
By the piano organ, a silent, watchful friend,
You'd sit beside him, until the very end.
Each gentle melody, a rhythm in your soul,
Making his spirit, happy and whole.
A constant presence, steady and so true,
His quiet companion, always there with you.
Through every late night, every passing day,
You chased the lonely shadows far away.
Chorus
Oh Dooney, sweet Dooney, seventeen years we shared,
A bond of pure love, beyond all compared.
My husband's dear heart, now aches for your touch,
Missing his best friend, oh so very much.
Bridge
He feels you're at the Rainbow Bridge, looking down from above,
A guardian angel, wrapped in endless love.
His deepest longing, to see you once more,
Whispering softly, "Dooney, seat on my lap," just like before.
Instrumental - piano, cello
Final Chorus
Oh Dooney, sweet Dooney, seventeen years we shared,
A bond of pure love, beyond all compared.
My husband's dear heart, now aches for your touch,
Missing his best friend, oh so very much.
Outro
At peace now, dreaming, on fields of softest green,
Waiting patiently, a beautiful, quiet scene.
His comforting spirit, forever near and true,
He knows one day, he'll be right there with you.
Outro - piano fade
