Lady Bug's Story
Lady Bug, a tiny Yorkie with the biggest heart, joyfully greeted her daddy at the gate with high jumps and yapping, always ready to bestow her soft, warm kisses. She was a constant shadow, whether enjoying long jeep rides, trips to the grocery store in the cart, or contentedly resting on an easy chair, always seeking to be carried and give her sweet, gentle love.

Intro - piano, strings
Verse 1
At the gate, I'd hear your joyful bark,
Your little jump, a shining, happy spark.
My Yorkie's welcome, yapping loud and clear,
Just knowing that your daddy was now near.
Those soft warm kisses, like a gentle dream,
A tiny soul, on life's most precious stream.
You had the biggest heart, though you were small,
Always ready to give your loving all.
Chorus
Oh, Lady Bug, my dear, my precious friend,
Six years of love that knew no end.
Your spirit bright, a guiding star,
No matter where you are.
Verse 2
Each moment with you, a treasure I recall,
From jeep rides long, to grocery store and mall.
In shopping carts, or on my easy chair,
Your gentle kisses showed how much you cared.
Though just five pounds, you filled our lives with grace,
Bringing joy to every time and place.
Chorus
Oh, Lady Bug, my dear, my precious friend,
Six years of love that knew no end.
Your spirit bright, a guiding star,
No matter where you are.
Verse 3
Of seven others, you demanded more,
Your little voice, right at the kitchen door.
And when you left, my heart so bruised and sore,
A lone red cardinal, sang outside my door.
A chirp so clear, a message from above,
I knew it was you, sending all your love.
My dearest Lady Bug, my heart's true core,
A piece of me, you took forevermore.
Bridge
I'm so sorry, precious angel, I wasn't there by your side,
When the unknown unfolded, with nowhere left to hide.
My fault I couldn't stop it, the pain I couldn't mend,
Please forgive me, Lady Bug, I love you, 'til the very end.
Instrumental - strings, piano
Final Chorus
Oh, Lady Bug, my dear, my precious friend,
Six years of love that knew no end.
Your spirit bright, a guiding star,
No matter where you are.
Outro
Still my little shadow, yapping at my feet,
Wanting me to carry you, a longing bittersweet.
My arms grow numb, but I would never cease,
Now rest, my sweet Lady Bug, find your eternal peace.
Outro - cello fade
