Nala's Story
Nala, a spirited Rottweiler cross German Shepherd, was cherished for her playful "talking back" and the pure joy she found splashing in the creek. Her days were filled with 4 am morning cuddles, enthusiastic ball throws before work, and quiet road trips, each moment reflecting the loving look in her eyes and her profound bond as a best friend. She now waits, relaxed by a river, forever free and deeply loved.

Lyrics
Intro - acoustic guitar, mandolin
Verse 1
From the start, you talked right back, a clever, knowing sound,
My best friend, a greatest gift, the finest I had found.
With loving eyes, a quiet grace, a spirit strong and free,
We had our fun down by the creek, just you and happy me.
Through all the years, a loyal heart, a presence ever near,
Dispelling shadows, calming fear.
Chorus
Oh, Nala, my sweet Nala, eleven years of sun,
A joyous spirit, wild and free, our journey truly spun.
You taught my heart to dance and sing, to cherish every day,
And though you're gone, your light still shines, to guide me on my way.
Verse 2
The quiet dark of four A.M., you'd nudge me with your head,
For morning cuddles, soft and warm, before I left my bed.
A quick ball throw, a happy chase, to start the workday right,
You filled my life with simple joys, with every morning light.
And road trips were our grandest art, with windows open wide,
Your happy sighs right by my side.
Chorus
Oh, Nala, my sweet Nala, eleven years of sun,
A joyous spirit, wild and free, our journey truly spun.
You taught my heart to dance and sing, to cherish every day,
And though you're gone, your light still shines, to guide me on my way.
Bridge
I whisper, "I love you, be free, my sweetheart dear,"
And feel your spirit lifting, banishing all fear.
The bond we share can never break, it holds us ever tight,
Until we meet again, one day, in gentle morning light.
Instrumental - acoustic guitar, mandolin, light drums
Chorus
Oh, Nala, my sweet Nala, eleven years of sun,
A joyous spirit, wild and free, our journey truly spun.
You taught my heart to dance and sing, to cherish every day,
And though you're gone, your light still shines, to guide me on my way.
Outro
Now you're relaxing by a river, where sunbeams gently gleam,
Just waiting there, my dearest friend, a peaceful, loving dream.
Run free, my Nala, wild and bright, until that destined day,
When I will join you by the stream, and chase all grief away. [Outro - guitar fade]
