Dixie's Story
From her very first night, sleeping on her daddy's pillow against his head, Dixie the Silky Yorkie knew she had found her forever home. The most cherished moments were those quiet evenings when she would lay against his chest, just underneath his arm, knowing she was deeply loved. Now, free of pain, she runs in heavens fields, patiently waiting until she can be reunited with her beloved daddy once more.

Lyrics
Intro - piano, strings
Verse 1
That first night, a tiny, silky dream,
You nestled close, a love supreme.
Against my head, upon my bed so soft,
My little girl, you lifted me aloft.
You knew your daddy, home you’d found,
A gentle spirit, safe and sound.
No longer lost, no longer roam,
Just seven pounds, in your forever home.
Chorus
Oh, Dixie, my sweet and precious friend,
Seven years of love that will not end.
You taught my heart to truly see,
The deepest joy, you brought to me.
Verse 2
When day was done and evening fell so deep,
Beneath my arm, I watched you sleep.
Against my chest, a gentle, quiet rest,
Each tender breath, you put my soul at test.
A little queen, so small and brave,
Every moment with you, I wished to save.
Your knowing gaze, your happy sighs,
Reflected brightly in my loving eyes.
Chorus
Oh, Dixie, my sweet and precious friend,
Seven years of love that will not end.
You taught my heart to truly see,
The deepest joy, you brought to me.
Bridge
It’s okay, my baby girl, my sweet,
You loved me with your whole heart, a love complete.
And I’ll love you with my heart and soul, it’s true,
Until the day I cross and come to you.
Forever waiting, just beyond the veil,
Our spirits bound, a love that will prevail.
Instrumental - strings swell
Final Chorus
Oh, Dixie, my sweet and precious friend,
Seven years of love that will not end.
You taught my heart to truly see,
The deepest joy, you brought to me.
Outro
Now running free in heaven’s fields so wide,
No pain can touch you, nowhere left to hide.
You watch and wait for daddy to come home,
No longer far, no longer all alone.
Outro - cello fade
