Hopper's Story
Hopper, with his beautiful brindle and flashy fur, brought unbridled joy to every morning and homecoming, wiggling with a toy from his velvet ears to his tappy white toes. This sassy boy, who romped with big sister Roxy and patiently tolerated brother Gunner, loved riding shotgun for a drive-thru burger or snuggling close on the porch swing. A true pack caretaker, he’d sing along to Curly’s harmonica, put Dad to bed for treats, and ensure everyone was safe, always ready for a new adventure or to find a squeaker in his favorite toys.

Verse 1
A tiny fella, home you came that day
With freckles and pink spots, my heart led astray
So full of kisses, a soft football you'd find
Your unbridled joy, a one of a kind
Your brindle fur flashed, from velvet ears so brown
To tappy white toes, the sweetest boy in town
With sister Roxy, you'd wrestle and you'd play
And sweet Gunner learned from you, day by day
Chorus
Oh, Hopper, my love, it was only six years
But a lifetime of laughter, wiping away tears
My best boy, my shadow, my heart’s guiding light
You filled every moment, morning and night
The pain of missing you still lingers on
But your spirit of love will forever live on
Verse 2
On the porch swing beside me, we'd sit and we'd share
Your many sweet cuddles, beyond all compare
Riding shotgun, you’d never say no to a treat
A drive-thru burger made your happiness complete
You'd sing with Curly when his harmonica played
Then tuck dad to bed, your nightly parade
A mailman's bark, then a happy, soft wiggle
Your tapping toes on the stairs, always a giggle
Chorus
Oh, Hopper, my love, it was only six years
But a lifetime of laughter, wiping away tears
My best boy, my shadow, my heart’s guiding light
You filled every moment, morning and night
The pain of missing you still lingers on
But your spirit of love will forever live on
Verse 3
My Hoppy, you loved mama's cooking so grand
Then searched for your family, to guard every hand
A sweet lap snuggler, with a comforting sigh
And for my last bite, you'd look with hopeful eye
Verse 4
In Grafton's deep snow, with Roxy you would play
Then zoomies in NC, through the yard each day
The garden hose called, for a cool, happy drink
You’d munch on lettuce, more than you’d think
Your squeaker toy found, you’d make it sing clear
A pivotal member, holding us all so dear
Visiting Bee and Bug, for treats you would roam
My sweet Hopper, my love, you made our house a home
Bridge
My very best boy, I miss you eternally
Each tear worth a moment, a sweet memory
Your collar by my headboard, a kiss in the night
Thank you for loving me with all of your might
Blessed by your spirit, pure love, strong and true
Please find me in dreams, until I join you
Harmonica Solo
Final Chorus
Oh, Hopper, my love, it was only six years
But a lifetime of laughter, wiping away tears
My best boy, my shadow, my heart’s guiding light
You filled every moment, morning and night
The pain of missing you still lingers on
But your spirit of love will forever live on
Outro
Now with sweet Roxy, under skies bright and warm
Running pain-free together, safe from all harm
Basking in sunshine, or sleeping so deep
A promise of joy that my heart will keep
Outro - guitar fade
